Replaced my old WRK54G with this unit. The WRK54G was bottomward connectivity about 2-3 times per day, so I absitively to buy a USED WRT54GS for bucks. I mirrored the settings on the new one and swapped them out. Now, I accept no alone access as of yet. I can watch my Roku with no problems and in 4 days, I’ve had aught alone connections. Before, my laptops and my Roku would lose connectivity and I’d accept to unplug my router and bung it aback in.

I cannot say abundant acceptable things about the “tried & true” WRT54GS. I’m affairs a advancement one aloof to accept laying about in case article happens to this one.

None of the new “N” routers can alike analyze to this thing. The bad affair about “N” routers is that they run to the slowest affiliation that you accept absorbed to it. so if you accept one wireless “G” accessory affiliated and one Wireless “N”, it will alone run at “G” speeds. In my case I accept one Macbook that has a “G” agenda that is on 24-7 and addition Laptop active a “N” agenda that is not commonly on all the time. So I can alone run at “G” speeds anyway. Therefore, why should I decay money on an “N” router?
