This is my 3rd compound, and second slider. I use them all and this one,for the price, is up there with the others.

The saw handle was broken on arrival. After closer examination of the saw, I discovered it was very cheaply made and a probable safety hazard. The company that carried the saw was very understanding and agreeable when I contacted them. The saw was returned and I received a full refund. This all was done promptly. Excellent people to deal with but a bad quality saw. There were many saws to choose from, but I made a cheap decision when picking the saw and that is what I got – cheap. Lesson learned.

This review is from: Rockwell ProGrade RK7122L 10-inch Compound Miter Saw with Laser (Tools & Home Improvement)

I recently purchased this saw and promptly sent it back. First of all it sounded like it was on its last leg and had a bad electrical smell. When I tried to make a square cut the saw would only cut square within 1/16 of an inch. I promptly got out the manuel and boy is that a joke. Nothing about how to adjust the saw or really anything else. When I called Rockwell all you get is the run around from the computer and when I contacted the Ace Tools site that was recommended by Rockewll, they only sell parts. Also the blade changing is not an easy operation.
I have owned a Rockwell saw since 1984 and it recently “died” after years of service in a commercial window shop and my home shop. This new miter saw ia a far cry from the old one. Of course when the new saw arrived and didn’t work I checked the label and sure enough; “Made in China”. How long will we be content to purchase this Chinese junk and continue to fill our landfills with it. I would not purchase a Rockwell tool ever. They are so proud of their tools they do not even have a “Contact us” spot on their web site. I now have a new Dewalt miter saw and am very happy with it. Made in Taiwan and not in China.
